'RHONY' Heather Thomson 'Just Can't Do' the Series Anymore

When Heather Thomson said she was retiring her catchphrase, "Holla!", during the Real Housewives of New York City reunion show, we should have known it meant the curtain was closing on her time with the Bravo franchise. The shapewear designer herself confirmed it: Heather will not return to the series next season, citing personal and work responsibilities.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight she said:

The reality of it [is] that I just can't do it anymore. I have to focus on the things that are really, really important in my life, and that's my family and my business. While I'm filming the show, I also am running a multimillion dollar business, and it takes away a lot of my time from the company.

Heather, who had a role on the show for three seasons, says she feels like she's able to close this chapter on her life because she now knows where she stands with each of the women.

My third year I kind of figured out where I was with the women. There was a beginning, middle, and end for everything, and for me, that was the end. The opportunity, the experience – it was all amazing while it lasted. But, again … the third time was the charm for me.

It's pretty rare for any of the Housewives to willingly walk away from the show, as many use it to launch new products or even just keep their 15 minutes of fame going a little longer. It will be interesting to see who stays and who goes from the Big Apple cast. I presumed Kristen Taekman would be a goner considering she received very little screen time this past season, but with the news that her husband was one of the men named in the Ashley Madison leak, it just might be the dirt Bravo needs to keep her around.
