Sexy Doctor's Viral Instagram Account Will Make You Forget All About McDreamy (PHOTOS)

Have you been missing Derek Shepherd on Grey's Anatomy? The fictional doc who inspired the term "McDreamy" may have left the show, but this viral Instagram account of a real life hot doctor may fill in the gaps left in your heart by Patrick Dempsey.

P.S. We are still mad at you, Shonda Rhimes!

Anyway, if you don't fall madly in love with Dr. Mike, the "hot doctor" of Instagram, I can't help you. Especially because not only is he gorgeous, he's obviously smart (medical school isn't exactly a walk in the park), and he's super inspirational too. If that isn't enough, enter Roxy, his beyond adorable husky pup.

Dr. Mike talked to Bustle after his Instagram account exploded the Internet, and shared his secret to his success. He said, "Honestly, it was me just having an Instagram just like everybody else, posting things I was doing, putting up pictures of my dog ... I think that's the secret -- they really follow me for my dog, not me."

Or, you know, this face.

OK, Roxy is pretty cute too.

Just wait until you hear how Roxy came to be in Dr. Mike's life, and try not to swoon. He got her when she was a 3-month old puppy, after his mom passed away a few years ago when he was in medical school. He said he and his dad needed something to cheer them up a little. "We always wanted a dog," he said. "I thought it was the perfect time to get a dog. She's turned out to be one of the greatest blessings of my life ... I feel like she sort of carries my mom's spirit inside of her."

Sweet, smart, compassionate, loves his family, and he looks like this:

Plus he wants you to follow your dreams. "Usually there's that stigma that you have to give up your life to study medicine," he shared. "I've kind of battled that stigma my whole life showing that you can be a normal person, have a social life -- you know, enjoy your hobbies while still becoming a doctor."

"I really want people to not give up on their dreams just because they're afraid of losing something in their life they have now ... It's just not the case. All you have to do is plan accordingly," he said.

Sorry, McDreamy. You've been eclipsed.
