Heather Thomson Seems Obsessed With ‘RHONYC’ Costar Bethenny Frankel

Something occurred to me last night while watching part one of the Real Housewives of New York City reunion show -- Heather Thomson seems awfully up in Bethenny Frankel's grill.

The Yummie designer was quick to defend everyone on "her side" of the reunion couches, namely Bethenny and Carole Radziwill, but she also seemed all too willing to back down when the Skinnygirl entrepreneur accused her of being a bit too much ... in most situations.

Like Dorinda Medley's birthday in the Berkshires, for example, when Heather was practically trying to force-feed Bethenny food, harping on trying to accommodate her. In hindsight, she says she was way out of line.

Bethenny explains:

I could kind of feel you on me. I tried to not say, 'There's a stop sign up. There's a red light. Get out.'

Instead of trying to explain away her actions Heather replied:

I missed the signs. I'll practice my active listening skills.

Then, in regard to a scene early in the season when Heather told Bethenny that Kristen Taekman was upset she had been left off a birthday invitation, she once again backed down when Bethenny accused her of just trying to stir the pot.

Heather said:

If it came out patronizing I apologize, that's not what I was trying to do. I wasn't scolding her and I don't think she felt scolded.

Not that everyone has to be at odds -- it just felt like whatever Bethenny said on the first round of the reunion show was golden in Heather's eyes. Maybe I'm misreading it but it feels like she really wants to stay on the cocktail-mix mogul's good side.
