Leah Messer Finally Gets a Break in Her Custody Battle With Corey Simms

Call it a minor win for Leah Messer! Corey Simms is not allowed to use Teen Mom 2 footage against his ex in their ongoing custody battle over daughters Ali and Aleeah.

This is good news for Leah considering her parenting skills haven't exactly been portrayed in the best light on the series.

According to The Ashley's Reality Roundup, the reason why the tapes won't past muster in court is because of the legally-binding contract both parties have with MTV. In essence, the documents say that MTV has the right to edit the footage however they darn well please, which means if they want to chop some video down to make Leah look like a bad parent, they can.

So much for reality, right?

I guess it's back to the drawing board for the Corey Simms' dream team, although it certainly sounds like Leah's trying to clean up her act now that she's caring for new boyfriend T.R. Dues' two sons as well. Guess we'll have to wait and see how this one unfolds, ironically, on the show.
