Last week, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro was arrested for allegedly kidnapping his baby daughter after getting into a physical altercation with his on-again, off-again girlfriend, Jen Harley. And now, it seems there's been an update to this scary situation. Reportedly, Ronnie feels horrible about the way he behaved, and his lawyer has released a statement about the incident.

On Friday, Ronnie was tased and arrested by police when they were called to his Los Angeles Airbnb.

Allegedly, Ronnie punched and slapped Jen before chasing her out of the house with a knife while she was holding their 18-month-old daughter, Ariana.

TMZ reported that Ronnie then took Ariana into the house and locked the doors, refusing to come out for police, who were forced to break down the door and tase him to comply. After he was taken for a medical evaluation, he was booked on kidnapping charges.

Yep, that's a lot.

Now, Ronnie's lawyer is saying that the reports about his arrest are based on "pure speculation."

"The reporting of the alleged incident relating to Ronnie Magro yesterday is based upon pure speculation and innuendo," Scott E. Leemon, Ronnie's lawyer, told Us Weekly in a statement. "We are currently conducting our own investigation and will have no further comment until that has been concluded."

Ronnie reportedly feels "horrible" and "somber" after being released on $100,000 bail.

"He's very somber," a source close to the Jersey Shore star told Us Weekly. "He's trying to put himself in a place mentally where he's going to be able to digest all of this. It's a lot for him to take in. He feels pretty horrible, but he's in an OK space. He's just trying to process what just happened."

That could certainly take some time -- it sounds as if it was a very eventful night. And of course, this isn't the first time something like this has happened; Ron and Jen have gotten physical with each other before. That doesn't make this particular incident any less horrifying, though.

It's hard to say what the future holds for these two, but we hope everyone involved is okay.

What they're going through right now is truly difficult, and we're hoping that Ronnie is able to get the help he so obviously needs -- if for no one's sake but his daughter's.

We've followed along with Ron for so many years on Jersey Shore, so we're truly hoping the best for him.
