Britt Nilsson May Have Found True Love on 'The Bachelorette' After All

The premiere of the new season of The Bachelorette was pretty intense for many reasons, but you gotta admit, the whole showdown between Kaitlyn Bristowe and Britt Nilsson was kind of painful to watch. No matter which one of them you were rooting for, it was still hard not to feel bad for both of them once the votes were counted and the sole Bachelorette was announced.

When Chris Harrison told Britt that she was not The Bachelorette, she was clearly blindsided and disappointed, and then the whole ugly crying in the limo thing definitely clued us in to how she was really feeling.

But even though we felt kinda sorry for her, who else thought Kaitlyn got the raw end of the deal, in terms of dudes sticking around who had voted for Britt as opposed to her?

Sheesh. Talk about a bunch of fame whores. Why on earth would you stay to date the woman you didn't pick? Oh, that's right -- for a shot at finding 15-minutes or so of fame on a reality TV show.

Of course, one guy out of the bunch surprised us all with his genuine decency -- Brady Toops. We have to give him mad props for leaving the show after finding out he would not have the chance to pursue Britt, and (Spoiler Alert!) -- much to his delight, he was able to reconnect with her to see whether or not they had a future together.

More from The Stir: ABC's Next 'Bachelor' Might Be Someone We Know All Too Well

As it turns out, these two just might be a match made in Bachelorette-reject heaven. According to Us Weekly, Brady and Britt are still together, and they're very happy as a couple!

Aww. I'll be the first to admit that I wasn't initially a Britt fan, but for some reason, I really felt for her after the premiere, probably because of how classy she was upon leaving the Bachelorette mansion. She certainly deserves a shot at true love just as much as the rest of us, so wouldn't it be pretty cool if she and Brady wind up living happily ever after? Maybe they didn't find love on the show in the traditional way, but hey, sometimes fate has a way of making sure things work out, even if you have to take a strange road to get there.

Best of luck to the two of them, and who knows? Maybe there will be a Bachelorette wedding in 2015 after all?

Are you happy for Britt?
