'Bachelorette' Premiere Recap: Sole 'Bachelorette' Revealed With Twist We Weren't Expecting

Chris Harrison Kaitlyn Bristowe Britt Nilsson

Who else was more than a little bit annoyed last night when Chris Harrison announced that The Bachelorette premiere would "be continued," leaving us all wondering whether or not the most roses went to Kaitlyn Bristowe or Britt Nilsson?

Ok, ok, I'm just kidding. Duh. The identity of this season's sole Bachelorette has to be about the worst kept secret in reality TV history, so even though the first part of the premiere was teased as a cliffhanger, we already knew Kaitlyn beat out Britt as the new star of the show.

We totally predicited Britt crying in the limo like, well, Britt. And then we knew Kaitlyn would totally freak out upon learning that she'd beat her out for the top spot.

And then?

More from The Stir: 'Bachelorette' Ryan McDill Is the Ex-Boyfriend of 'Bachelor' Star -- Huh?!?

Yikes. How bad does it suck that Kaitlyn had to walk back into the house knowing that some of the men would've rather dated someone else? And she doesn't even know who voted for who, unless they fill her in? Talk about a curve ball. Although, in terms of ratings, you know the "so-and-so voted for Britt and isn't here for the right reasons" is going to make a comeback at some point during the season.

For Kaitlyn's sake, let's hope that some of the die-hard Britt devotees wind up changing their minds when they realize just how awesomesauce she is. But at this point, Kaitlyn should probably err on the side of caution as far as pursuing any dude in the house who didn't initially give her a rose.

But OMG -- who in the hell does she wind up sleeping with during the season and why in the hell does she even bother to tell the other dudes?!? Talk about a twist!! (AMAZING.)

This definitely has the potential to be the most dramatic season of The Bachelorette ever. Like for reals.

Are you happy that Kaitlyn beat out Britt as The Bachelorette?
