Chris Harrison Reveals 2 Major 'Bachelorette' Contenders

Bachelorette contenders

Now that we're only a few weeks away from the season finale of The Bachelor, devoted fans have one burning question in the forefront of our minds. Duh, which one of Chris Soules' rejects is going to wind up being the next Bachelorette? Ok, so we sort of care about who he picks to be his wife too, but let's forget about that for the time being.

It's kind of been the pattern of the show for ABC to cast somebody who has been dumped as the leading lady for the new season, and based on the level of pure crazy we've seen from Chris' gals so far, producers have a decent pool of possibilities to choose from.

But now it looks as though we might have a pretty good idea of who will wind up landing the gig. In a new TV Guide interview, Chris Harrison dished on current Bachelorette contenders, and the two names he dropped probably won't come as a huge surprise.

Yep, you guessed it. Britt Nilsson, and Carly Waddell. Here's what Chris had to say about each of them:

We definitely want to wait until "Women Tell All" and the finale [to make a decision], but Britt would give us a good Bachelorette. She's beautiful, she's articulate; it would be very emotional and the guys would be very happy. She's definitely a candidate for sure.

I love Carly. She almost wanted it too bad. The thing I love about Carly, but I see why she ends up as the best friend, is she's funny and deprecating. Carly got a little mean at Britt towards the end, but I get it, she's bitter towards the pretty girl and she admitted it. It's heartbreaking when you hear her, but a lot of women will empathize with it, which makes her relatable. She's so frickin' funny.

Ugh. From the way he's talking, it definitely sounds like Britt is the front runner for The Bachelorette at this point, which is bound to make a ton of people cringe. Seriously, does anyone genuinely like her, and are there really fans out there who want to deal with her hot pink lipstick and jumping up and down like a 5-year-old little girl for an entire season?

Sure, there's no doubt that the men they cast would drool all over her, but the thought of having to put up with her fake behavior a second time around just doesn't seem fair to viewers.

Carly, on the other hand, has a whole lot more going for her than just being funny. Out of any of the women on The Bachelor, she seems the most relatable and real, you know? Like the girl we'd all be most likely to be BFFs with in real life. Isn't it about time we had a Bachelorette with more of a fun, girl next door vibe? (But not too innocent, of course.)

Personally, I can't think of anyone else who is more deserving of having the chance at finding true love in an unconventional way than her. Who else is with me? Carly Waddell for Bachelorette or bust!

Who do you think should be The Bachelorette?
