Leah Calvert & Friends Forced to Give Up 'Illegal' Salon Business

Leah Calvert

Man. No matter how hard they try, some people seriously just can't catch a break, which definitely appears to be the case for Leah Calvert. For starters, her marriage to Jeremy Calvert is likely on the outs again, or at least that's what we're assuming based on his recent, very weird Twitter posts.

And then there's the whole bit about her Gloss salon website being taken down after it was revealed that the business is reportedly operating illegally and is under investigation from the West Virginia Board of Barbers and Cosmetologists.

To keep clients and fans updated on what is happening with the salon, Gloss posted the following update on their Facebook page:

We will protect our reputation and ourselves. This is a future career we believe in. Thank you for the support. Success doesn't come without set backs and haters. We aren't afraid of either.

Ugh. Don't you feel awful for these women? A week ago, they were so excited about their new business venture that they were shouting it from the rooftops. Now the entire thing has blown up in their faces and they'll likely be forced to start from scratch.

And while it's understandable that they should be expected to follow the law just like anyone else, we can't help but wonder if the fact that Leah is a reality TV star is what led to her demise in this situation. Oh come on, there have to be countless other people who run similar operations that aren't technically in line with the law, so it just seems kind of strange that Leah was singled out. (It certainly wasn't random. No way, no how.)

Hopefully things will start to turn around in a more positive direction for Leah soon, in regards to both her personal and her professional life. I mean, there are only so many times a gal can be knocked down before she simply doesn't have the strength to get back up again, so it's about time something went her way.

Do you feel sorry for Leah?
