Kelsey Poe's Dramatic Post-'Bachelor' Plans Surprise Exactly No One

Chris Soules Kelsey Poe

Well? After her epic exit from The Bachelor after Chris Soules abandoned her in The Badlands of South Dakota, I guess we shouldn't be all that surprised that we still haven't heard the last of her. And in addition to an upcoming tell-all interview with Chris Harrison, Kelsey Poe's future plans after achieving reality TV stardom are ... exactly what we expected.

OMG. You didn't honestly think she'd let her "story" end with a farmer from Iowa dumping her in the middle of nowhere, did you?

(Not a chance.)

No, my friends, Kelsey has decided to jet off to Paris to pursue her writing career, so it sounds like she has no intentions of letting cameras document her journey from here on out.

In an appearance in Grand Rapids, Michigan, after the last episode of The Bachelor, Kelsey explained:

I'm blessed with the ability to express myself and use my words. I noticed my blog was starting to have an impact. But if you're going to be a writer, you might as well be a writer in Paris.

(Gah. Apparently those of us with writing careers back in the US are doing it all wrong.)

And she didn't waste any time as far as taking the trip across the pond goes. Kelsey was scheduled to depart for France yesterday, and she plans on staying there for a whopping two weeks. Ok, to be fair, she's going back to Paris this summer and plans on remaining there, "for as long as the French will allow her to be there."

More from The Stir: 'Bachelor' Star Kelsey's REAL Story Will Completely Change Your Opinion of Her

Hmm. Something tells me they'll let her visit for as long as she likes, as long as she isn't caught staring at anyone, that is.

Sigh. To be honest, I'm still not sure what to make of this chick. On the one hand, she definitely comes off as arrogant and manipulative, but then again, we can't totally rule out the possibility that she was made out to be a bigger villain than she actually is due to clever editing on ABC's part.

But regardless of whether or not she faked the whole panic attack/my story is "amazing," thing, it's obvious that Kelsey has a few unresolved issues that she just can't seem to work past at this point in her life. Maybe going to Paris for a while is exactly what she needs to bring her back down to reality, although the whole idea of her heading to France is kind of cliché, don't you think?

It's almost as if she's obsessed with having this incredible life "story," and there's something about living in a foreign city that adds another element of romance and whimsy to her next chapter.

Hmm. Kind of makes you feel sorry for her when you look at it that way, doesn't it?

But for her sake, let's hope she finds whatever sort of closure or peace she's looking for. Everybody deserves a happy ending, regardless of how they wind up getting there.

Do you think Kelsey is crazy?
