'16 & Pregnant' Star Busted for Prostitution in Sting Operation

Ugh. While many of the stars of MTV's Sixteen and Pregnant have gone up in life since finding themselves dealing with teen pregnancy, some are still having some very serious struggles. Like Valerie Fairman, who was busted for prostitution on Friday, February 13.

Fairman, 21, was arrested by Delaware police on Friday in New Castle, along with at least six other women. She was featured on the second season of the docu-drama, along with Kailyn Lowry, Jenelle Evans, Leah Calvert, and Chelsea Houska, who all went on to star in Teen Mom 2.

The arrests were part of a multi-agency prostitution sting conducted by the Delaware State Police New Castle County Governor's Task Force, Delaware State Police New Castle County Drug Unit, the New Castle County Police Department, and the Wilmington Police Department.

The Delaware state police issued a statement saying that the neighborhood was targeted "in response to numerous citizen complaints about prostitution and other quality of life crimes that have been occurring."

The former reality star is mom to Nevaeh Lynn Fairman. She and her baby daddy, Matt, had explosive fights on the show, including one in which she had to convince him it was his kid.

It totally sucks to find out that Valerie felt like she had to resort to streetwalking, for whatever reason. We just hope that this arrest is a kick in the pants to get on the straight and narrow. She has a little girl who looks up to her -- she can't teach her daughter that she's worth more than being a prostitute if she doesn't believe it first herself.

Do you think this will be a wake-up call for Valerie Fairman?
