'Walking Dead' Season 5 Trailer Gets Back to Man Vs. Zombie Basics (VIDEO)

walking dead season 5 trailerFinally, a reason to be excited in the midst of this cold, dreary winter! Walking Dead season 5 is back on February 8, after its midseason break, and in case you weren't sick and tired of watching this group of badass survivors fighting off zombies, there's a brand-new trailer out for you to take a peek at! "We do what we need to do and then we get to live," Rick Grimes professes. You must take a look.

Of course, violence about, with Rick grabbing Michonne's katana, Daryl Dixon shooting an arrow through another's head, and a crazy battle in a shack in the middle of a thunderstorm. If you didn't know about this show's gore by now, um, perhaps you should take the time to marathon this series before February 8? It'll be well worth it, as long as you can stomach it.

Check out the trailer:

Seems like there's no Carl, but like most folks are saying, that familiar adrenaline rush most likely was experienced after watching this new trailer. And of course Daryl seems to also be dealing in his typical way -- by wandering alone -- with the loss of (SPOILERS) Beth, whose death took place during the mid-season finale. But as Rick says to sum up the jist of the trailer, "I know we’ll be OK, because this is how we survive." Is the show finally getting back to its man vs. zombie roots after what many thought was an anti-climactic mid-season finale? All signs from this trailer point to an exciting end to season 5.
