'Real Housewives of Atlanta' Recap: Apollo Nida Is Just Pathetic

Apollo Nida is going to prison for almost a decade. Phaedra Parks, his wife, is less than pleased with this situation. Because Phaedra has been less than pleased with this situation, a sulky Apollo was all "I want a divorce." When Phaedra called his bluff being all "DO IT THEN, HOLMES," Apollo quickly backtracked and decided to get back into his wife's good graces. Naturally, he assumed trying to get into her drawers at a public party was the next logical step. Way to be overtly physically aggressive and kind of a gross douche, Nida.

I can't speak for you, but I will totally admit to having used sexy-times as a means to end a minor spat with a loved one. It's shocking, I know. My boyfriend once got mad that I asked him to shave his beard. I sidled up to him and gave him a smooch. How manipulative of me, I know, I know. But there's a difference between laying a big wet one on your sweetie in private over something as innocuous as facial hair and then bear-hugging them publicly when, at home, you're either not there at all or demanding a divorce. If I were Phaedra, I might have kicked him in the nuts until he vomited. Or, you know, stabbed him with a shiv to prepare him for prison life.

Phaedra is a human being. She might be about appearances and not making a scene and she might work like a dog, but that doesn't mean she's some superhero. Can you imagine how it would feel to have your rocky relationship aired out that way by the person you were with? She's got a million things on her mind -- including what to tell their sons about Apollo's future. It was manipulative and lame of Apollo to get up on it like everything was fine. Don't get me wrong, I think it's awesome that Apollo still wants to try and save his marriage, but I think there are roughly 812 ways of doing that, which are better than the mad-creepy option he went for.

What do you think Phaedra should do?
