It's the feel good story for the holiday season that we've all been waiting for! Up until recently, things looked bleak for this family to ever reconcile. Dina has been estranged from Caroline, Jacqueline, and her brother Chris (Jacqueline's husband) since season 1 of RHONJ wrapped more than five years ago! She left the show during season 2 and only came back this past season because her family was no longer a major part of the show. And on the reunion episodes, Dina admitted that she had tried to make peace over the years but her efforts weren't accepted. Jacqueline and Caroline denied this and made it seem like they were done trying to repair things with Dina -- but thankfully all have had a change of heart.

So what changed? Jacqueline told Radar, “We all mutually decided to stop the nonsense and move forward in a positive way. We even had Thanksgiving together for the first time and it was peaceful and normal and great to have everyone together.”

One of the tearful admissions Dina made during the reunion was that she had never met her nephew, Jacqueline and Chris' son, Nicholas. But during Thanksgiving they had a total love fest -- Jacqueline said that Nicholas sat on Dina's lap and "played with her hair."

And if you need proof that Caroline is on board with the reconciliation too, she even Instagrammed a picture a few days ago with all the cousins -- including Dina's daughter Lexi!

I love that this family came back together without the interference of cameras and producers coordinating any unnecessary drama. When everyone was getting along, I loved watching the family dynamics play out on the show. But when things turned ugly, I felt like I was intruding and it just was icky and uncomfortable. Dina even acknowledged this by tweeting:

Hopefully this is just the beginning of many more happy memories for this family to come. I'm banking on the wedding of Caroline's daughter Lauren to be on Bravo, and I want to see Aunt Dina getting down on the dance floor with all her siblings and siblings-in-law!

Are you happy to see the Lauritas and Manzos back together?
