'Dancing With the Stars' Judge Len Goodman Admits He's Leaving the Show

DWTS judges

Die hard fans of the show definitely saw this move coming from a mile away, but still, it's kind of a bummer to hear that Len Goodman is leaving Dancing With the Stars, which means we won't have the pleasure of hearing his colorful commentary once season 20 rolls around. I know. It isn't going to be the same without those "10s from Len!"

Even though ABC hasn't made any sort of official announcement, Len pretty much sealed the deal with comments he made to reporters.

Next year, I'm not going to do the flying backwards and forwards [from England to the United States] -- I'm not going to do the American show. I just need a bit of time off to get on with a normal life.

Yep. Sure sounds like he's done with DWTS for good, all right. And I guess we can't really blame him for wanting to take a step back and simplify his life a bit. Hell, flying back and forth from across the pond to LA would be hard enough for someone in their 20s, but given that Len is 70, all that traveling has to be taking its toll in more ways than one.

And again, when DWTS brought on Julianne Hough as a fourth judge for season 19, we kind of figured something must be up. Hell, it was hard enough for Len, Bruno Tonioli, and Carrie Ann Inaba to get their commentary in without adding another person's opinions into the mix, so we kind of assumed ABC was making a transition of sorts.

That being said, I guess we should probably go ahead and assume that season 20 will kick off with only three judges, Carrie Ann, Bruno, and Julianne. Or is there a chance they could spice things up and bring in a replacement for Len that will really have people talking? (My vote goes to Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Duh.)

Are you sad to see Len go?
