'Real Housewives of Atlanta' Recap: Kandi Burruss Makes Kenya Moore Sob!

Just when you thought life was going to get a little bit easier for Kenya Moore (or, televised-life, at any rate), tonight's episode happened and it seems like the poor ill-used broad is at the end of the proverbial rope. I thought for sure that when Kandi Burruss went to apologize for not being Kenya over the years, that it would end in hugs and hallelujahs (not really on the hallelujahs, I just like alliteration). But it was quite the contrary, Kandi's apology had Kenya in tears of fury -- and I don't blame her one iota.

While it was admittedly big of Kandi to say, "I'm sorry I thought you were a 'ho when really Apollo Nida is a crazy woman-hating liar," the power of her message was undermined when she told Kenya what Nene Leakes and Porsha Stewart had to say about the soon-to-be jailbird's confession. Nene thinks that Apollo LIED about LYING. I paused my DVR here to do a vicious set of double-takes that left me with a headache and seemed to upset both of my cats.

Okay, soooo - Nene is more willing to believe that someone is lying about lying than she is to believe that Kenya is telling the truth? Please. Nene! You are smarter than that! Someone much wiser than I once said it best: Sometimes the simplest answer is the right one. Like I said last week, I'm team Kenya on this one, and it looks like Kandi feels the same way.

Once Kenya heard how the women were still smack-talking her as a pregame to their spa day, she raced to the bathroom in tears and poor, awkward Kandi had to comfort her. I did chortle in sympathy for Kandi, who, having done the right thing, was still faced with a friend in tears. Here's hoping Kandi can broker a peace - if it's possible at all, she's the one to do it.

Why do you think Nene won't believe Kenya?
