'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Recap: Brandi Glanville Is My Hero

real housewives of beverly hills

Brandi Glanville is the most authentic person (second only to Kim Richards) on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. There. I said it! I realize that I've probably just enraged a fair portion of the RHOBH nation, but I stand by this assertion. Brandi may piss people off and sometimes say and do the wrong things, but guess what? This happens because she is a human being. I loved, loved, loved all the time she spent with Kim this week. I could watch those two shell peas, so perfectly do their attitudes mesh. But of course, I was the most delighted with Brandi this week over how she handled her sit-down with Adrienne Maloof

Adrienne and Brandi have been feuding for, like, well over a year at this point. For those of you who might have forgotten, Adrienne went NUTS when Brandi disclosed private information (allegedly, Adrienne's use of a surrogate to carry her twins) on the show. I get being a tough mama bear and wanting to protect your kids, but let's be real, when Adrienne decided to be on the show, she was already opening up her kids to a world of grief at school. I think it was a bit over the top to ice out Brandi to the extreme in the way that she did.

Brandi's mature sit-down with Adrienne went really well. I believed every word of Brandi's apology. Brandi is a lot of things, but she's not going to feed you a line of bullshit. She's also been through the mill when it comes to keeping her kids out of the public eye, and I think her earnest talk with Brandi was the real deal. I'm sure she's going to catch hell (she already has from Adrienne) for subtly explaining that her allegiance to Lisa Vanderpump at the time was informing her behavior, but you know what? If you are an adult woman living in a social circle where which queen bee you bow down to informs everything you do, it makes sense for Brandi to explain her actions. I didn't view it as blaming Lisa at all, but I don't think Adrienne was buying it.

What do you think?
