Duggar Fans Won't Let '19 Kids & Counting' Be Canceled Without a Fight

duggarsIf you're a Duggar fan, you've heard the news: Haters of 19 Kids and Counting have started a petition to have the insanely popular TLC show canceled. Apparently, the petition -- which, thus far, has over 130,000 signatures -- is claiming that Michelle, Jim Bob and their massive brood are "using their fame to promote discrimination, hate, and fear-mongering against gays and transgendered people." (If that's the case, not cool, Duggars. Not cool at all.) But, being that the gigantic family have an even bigger following, it isn't a shock that their fans are fighting back in an attempt to keep their beloved show on the air.

Yep. Duggar fans started a counter-petition. It's a petition-off!

A few days ago, a Facebook fan page dedicated to Michelle Duggar featured a petition to save her family's show. The petition reads: "The Duggar Family is under attack from anti-marriage advocates for standing for traditional marriage. We commend The Duggar Family for their brave stand in defending marriage as ordained by God between one man and one woman. No individual's sexual behavior and chosen lifestyle has the right to redefine marriage." As of now, the petition has almost 40,000 signatures, which is a lot -- but a far cry from 130,000.

At this point, it's unclear what TLC will do with the petition to end their most popular show, but one thing is for sure: Fans will be seriously upset if 19 Kids and Counting is canceled. And, as we can already see, there's no way they're going to go down without a fight.

The Duggars seem like very kind people, but if they are using their popularity to spread an anti-gay message, that's pretty upsetting. Everyone is free to have their own opinions, but perhaps it would be best for them to leave theirs out of the spotlight.

Do you think the Duggars should be canceled due to their beliefs?
