'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Season Premiere Recap: Brandi Glanville Shouldn't Have to Apologize to ANYONE!

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Brandi Glanville

After last season, it's no surprise that things are tense from go on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Although the gang "turned" on her in Puerto Rico, it takes more than that to keep a good Vanderpump down. Lisa and Ken are strutting their stuff, feeling fabulous, and have no desire to pow wow with Brandi Glanville at Kyle Richards' white party. But don't worry, Brandi won't leave the party sans drama and approaches Adrienne Maloof to try and heal old wounds.

Brandi has a lot of work to do this season if she hopes to get back into everyone's good graces. At least, that's what the show is setting up. To be frank, that's deeply annoying to me, because watching Brandi grow a backbone last season in regards to her friendship with Lisa was one of the greatest things I've ever seen. "VANDERPUMP DOES NOT RULE HERE," I may have been heard to trumpet around my apartment.

Sadly with last season's new additions banished, Brandi doesn't have any straightforward allies left. Kyle Richards is waaaaaay too much of a beta-female to ignore Lisa's Queen Bee powers. And it's not like Kim Richards can be expected to be of much help considering she spends 90 percent of her time dreaming about turtles and trying to keep her dog from maiming people.

Still, if this season is going to be about Brandi making nice, she's off to a pretty good start. She had the good sense not to think hashing out their personal problems at Kyle's party was a wise choice when it came to Adrienne, and instead they agreed to a civilized coffee. Snaps all around.

I am unspeakably pumped about the new additions to the cast this year. Though we really only spent time with Lisa Rinna (and even that briefly) this week, I'm an OG Young and the Restless fan (my mom was watching the show while I was still gestating), so Eileen Davidson on a reality show? That is basically crack to me. Delicious, delicious crack.

What do you think it would take for Lisa to forgive Brandi?
