'Dancing With the Stars' Recap: Surprising Elimination Is Beyond Unfair

Man. Has this season of Dancing With the Stars flown by or what? It's hard to believe that next week is the semi-finals of the competition, and before we know it, a new winner will take home the mirror ball trophy.

But now that we're at the point in the show where there are clear front runners, it was a total shock to everyone when it was announced that Peta Murgatroyd and Tommy Chong were safe for at least one more week.

Um, no offense to Tommy because he's putting in one hell of an effort, but it just seems hard to believe that he's still in the game, considering how talented the other contestants are.

The initial performances tonight were awesome, but the trio dances? Yeah. Those really proved just how much the rest of the crew deserves to be in this competition.

Alfonso Ribeiro's Paso Doble with Witney and Lindsay was INSANE. And OMG -- how hot was Bethany Mota's Argentine Tango with Derek and Tony? (Loved it!!) Janel Parrish's Salsa with Val and Keo was all sorts of off the charts too. (Damn.)

But given how amazing the remaining dancers are, it's just so hard to accept that this was the end of the road for Lea Thompson and Artem.

(Seriously?!? How did this happen?)

Lea will surely be missed, as she really is such an inspiration, and this is yet another reminder that you never know how America is going to vote from week to week. If you want your favorite cast member to stay, you have have HAVE to get your vote in every time!

Do you think tonight's elimination was unfair?
