Honey Boo Boo Receives Support After 'OK Not to Be OK' Confession
After everything she and her family have been through over the past few months, it sounds like Honey Boo Boo is rising above. On Sunday, Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson shared an Instagram post about "not being OK." Not only does it give us a little bit of insight into where her head is at with everything involving Mama June, but it also prompted fans to show the reality TV star so much support.
Alana took to Instagram to share a selfie, along with a caption about it being "OK not to be OK."
Her words are lyrics from the Jessie J song, "Who You Are," and they seem to fit Alana's situation perfectly.
Following June's drug arrest in the spring, Honey Boo Boo moved out of her mom's house and in with her sister, Lauren "Pumpkin" Shannon. It seems like she won't come back unless June breaks up with her boyfriend, Geno Doak. But June reportedly refused to end things with Geno to get Alana back, and has even sold her home to supposedly live in an RV with Geno instead.
We can't imagine what this is like for Honey Boo Boo, but we're glad she's finding a way to express herself -- and it seems like fans feel the same way.
It's clear folks really care, which is pretty great given the circumstances.
People are really taking the time out to share their thoughts with Alana, and we hope it's comforting to her. Nothing will replace the relationship she once had with her mom, but hopefully, comments like these let her know that a lot of people are out there thinking about her.
Fans aren't the only ones loving on Alana, her sister, Pumpkin, has been all about it, too.
Pumpkin shared this sweet birthday message to Honey Boo Boo in honor of her birthday last week, writing about how proud she is to be her "sister mom."
We give Pumpkin props for this -- not only is she raising her own daughter, Ella, who's still under 2, but she's raising Alana now, too.
We're so glad they have each other.
We hope Alana knows how loved she is.
We'll be rooting for her every step of the way. We're also keeping our fingers crossed that soon, June will see the light and come back to her family.
Till then, Alana's doing a pretty great job.
