Bethenny Frankel Confirms Return to 'RHONY' -- It's Official!

Get ready Housewives fans, Bethenny Frankel's Real Housewives of New York City return is officially official! The entrepreneur and author will be back to add drama and sass to the Big Apple for season 7.

Not even Aviva Drescher's controversial prosthetic leg toss could save season 6 from being a bit of a snoozefest, so Frankel's Housewives homecoming is certainly one to be celebrated by fans. With that being said, is it a good move for the go-getter professionally?

Still grappling with the aftermath of an ugly (and very public) divorce from ex Jason Hoppy and a failed TV talk show, returning to Housewives could offer Frankel the opportunity to rebuild her image by proving she's still the same down-to-earth, straight shooter fans rooted for during New York City's first three seasons.

On the other hand though, the move could also be perceived as Frankel, once thought to be a Housewives success story, returning with her tail between her legs. Also, selling a business for millions and reaping the kinds of opportunities Frankel has been offered since her reality TV debut tend to change a person, so will she still be as loveable upon her return? Will viewers still be able to relate to the adorably scrappy chef?

Only time will tell, but as someone who never really drank the Skinnygirl juice (literally and figuratively), I'm not entirely sold on the idea this is the best move for Frankel. But I suppose when you come from a "place of yes," you say yes to an opportunity like this!

In regards to her return, Frankel tells E! News:

I'm genuinely excited, with a side of slightly nervous, for my return to The Real Housewives of New York City. Bravo has always been the place on television where I have the freedom to be unfiltered, honest and inappropriate, with an audience who has been with me from the beginning. I can't wait to see what this next chapter brings for all of us. Watch what happens!

Also returning for season 7 are Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, LuAnn de Lesseps, Carole Radziwill, Heather Thomson, and Kristen Taekman.

Will Frankel's return reignite your love for Real Housewives of New York City?
