Josh Murray Horribly Insults Andi Dorfman Without Even Realizing It

Andi Dorfman Josh Murray

Even though I wasn't totally buying into their relationship after they got engaged on The Bachelorette finale, I've sort of warmed up to Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray now that the initial buzz surrounding them has faded a bit.

I mean, they seem to be leading somewhat of a "normal" existence, living in Atlanta instead of L.A., and doing ... regular everyday couple things.

But given what a strong, independent woman Andi is (or at least has led people to believe she is), it's hard not to wonder whether she might be a bit turned off by an insulting "pet" name Josh referred to her by in a recent tweet.

Check it out.

Yep. He called her a "breeder," you guys. Um, WTF?

Unless there's some sort of slang baseball term that most of us aren't privy to, doesn't "breeder" usually refer to someone who cranks out one baby after another? (Please, enlighten me if there is. I even Googled it, people. Nada.)

It's probably safe to assume the two of them aren't running a dog breeding business on the side, so what the heck did he mean by "breeder," exactly?

More from The Stir: Andi Dorfman & Josh Murray Are Reportedly Planning Their Divorce

I know he said she "plays ball like an animal," but still, he could've selected a better choice of words, don't you think?

And it's probably safe to assume Andi is nowhere near pregnant, so why the heck is he calling her a breeder when she doesn't even have any kids? Maybe he's simply hoping the two of them will have a large family or whatever, but still. Couldn't he have called her something like, "gorgeous mother of my future children," or something equally as flattering?

Sigh. Nice going, Josh. We'll go ahead and give you a hall pass for this one, but you might want to think going forward before you unintentionally call your fiancée a derogatory name in a social media post. That sort of thing is kind of frowned upon these days.

Do you think Andi should be offended by Josh's tweet?
