Whoopi Goldberg & Rosie O'Donnell Feud Forces Producers to Make Major Change

There are already problems at the new and improved The View. After a nasty run-in on air between Whoopi Goldberg and Rosie O'Donnell, producers are considering a big change to deal with the hot-tempered women.

Here is how the whole mess began. During a recent episode, Whoopi cut Rosie off so that they could go to commercial. That was a move that infuriated the newly returned star and she let everyone know it as soon as cameras were rolling once again.

Of course, Whoopi didn't let Rosie get away with that: "F*** it, I told you to leave it alone and you just don't want to listen. If you want to go there, Rosie, I will damnit. I'm really sick of your s***!"

Certainly looks like the ladies have stopped playing nice. The first two weeks seemed to be a gush fest, with them all complimenting each other. However, now that they are all settled into the new season, things are getting real.

Whoopi even talked about the vibe during an interview on Way Too Early, saying the ladies were "like family, some days you're cranky." She went on to compliment co-hosts Rosie Perez and Nicolle Wallace but said NOTHING about the other Rosie.

To ease the obvious tensions, producers have come up with that they think is a brilliant solution. They are going to create a "cool down" room. Apparently, it will be a place where Rosie can rest and "tap into her inner peace," according to a source. "And the rest of the cast can use it for a quick unwind during a commercial break rather than let feelings boil over on set."

Isn't that what dressing rooms are for? Besides, wasn't this the whole point of bringing Rosie back -- she's a trouble starter. The head honchos clearly didn't like the silly, girly gab-fest the show had turned into with hosts like Jenny McCarthy and Sherri Shepherd. Now there are serious, smart, and very heated debates. If Rosie "cools off" too much, The View won't be so fun to watch.

Do you think the stars need a "cool down" room?
