'Bachelor in Paradise' Finale Recap: Marcus Grodd Proposes to Lacy Faddoul in Surprising Way

Marcus Grodd Lacy Faddoul

OMG OMG OMG. Earlier today, Chris Harrison tweeted something about tonight's finale of Bachelor in Paradise being the best piece of TV ABC has produced in a long time, and man, he was right!

First of all, the breakups were epic, people! Um, how relieved were you when Graham Bunn dumped AshLee Frazier after coming to his senses? He's one very brave soul, as there was definitely the possibility of her turning the crazy up a notch or two upon being cut loose.

And good grief! How bad did you feel for Sarah Herron after her not-so-fantasy filled fantasy suite date with Robert Graham?

As hard as it was for her to break up with him, she SO did the right thing. There is nothing worse than being with a man who is not physically attracted to you. NOTHING.

Hopefully Sarah will eventually find the love she deserves, with a dude who isn't afraid to show her how he feels!

As for Michelle Money and Cody Sattler, they're so cute together, I can hardly stand it. Can you believe he's actually picking up and moving to Utah to be with her and her little girl? Now that's a man who knows exactly what he wants.

And I guess that brings us to the worst kept secret in reality TV, Marcus Grodd and Lacy Faddoul's engagement. Even though we all knew it was coming, it still wound up being kind of a surprise, what with how he pulled her away and took her down to the beach at the last minute. From the way the previews were set up, it really looked like he was going to do it at the rose ceremony in front of the rest of the crew.

It really was so sweet, and romantic, and ... how in the heck did we miss Neil Lane flying in with a fat selection of rocks for Marcus to choose from? Oh, who cares. It's impossible not to be happy for these two.

Congrats to Marcus and Lacy!

What surprised you the most about the finale?
