'Be Here Nowish' Star Breaks Down the Green Smoothie

Do you ever wonder why you're drinking a green smoothie and what it’s giving you? Alexandra, aka Sam from Ora TV’s Be Here Nowish -- a new comedy by Natalia Leite and Alexandra Roxo about two sexually progressive New York gals who ditch their down-and-out lives for LA in search of a spiritual awakening -- breaks down her favorite green smoothie recipe.

Green Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 handful of spinach
  • 1 banana
  • 1 apple
  • 1/4 cup soaked chia seeds
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1 handful of blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon "Green Vibrance"

Directions

  1. Blend all the ingredients in a high power blender. *I prefer blending vs. juicing cause you get all the good fiber!
  2. Pour in a glass & enjoy!

  • Spinach = Iron. It also helps fight heart disease and cancer + it's low cal. 
  • Banana = Potassium. It also adds some sweetness to the smoothie to make it extra yummy.
  • Apple = Fiber. And sweet flava! 
  • Chia Seeds = Omega-3s. Which are so good for your everything. 
  • Avocado = Good Fat. Because you need some fat to balance the sugar so it doesn't go straight to your bloodstream and do bad things. 
  • Blueberries = Anti-oxidants. And cancer-fighting things. 
  • Green Vibrance = Everything & More. It's really hard to get everything you need from food these days. AND this sh*t really does make you glow.  

Alternate smoothie breakfasts with days when you eat eggs and toast and you'll be golden!
