Tyler Baltierra’s Song For Daughter Carly Will Bring Tears to Your Eyes

Tyler Baltierra, Catelynn LowellTyler Baltierra and Catelynn Lowell quickly became fan favorites when they appeared on MTV's 16 and Pregnant and later on Teen Mom. The couple has been together since they were twelve, and ended up getting pregnant during their junior year of high school.

They chose an open adoption with the lovely Brandon and Teresa Davis -- meaning they get to see their biological daughter Carly at least once a year, and get frequent emails and phone calls. While they may not be the parents who are raising her, Carly still holds a very special place in Ty and Catelynn's hearts. Their love for Carly comes out occasionally, like over this past weekend when they attended a One Republic concert. Catelynn Instagrammed a short vid of Tyler's "song for Carly," and when you realize what it is, your heart will flip-flop as tears spring to your eyes.

There was nothing easy about the decision to give their daughter a life they knew that they couldn't provide for her as kids themselves, and we've gone on the journey with them as they've dealt with missing her yet coming to loving terms that they absolutely made the right decision for their family.

Which is why we appreciate posts like this so much, that just show us the depth of the love Tyler and Catelynn have for their first daughter.

The song Catelynn showed a clip of was One Republic's "I Lived," and the lyrics go a little something like this:

Hope that you spend your days
But they all add up
And when that sun goes down
Hope you raise your cup

I wish that I could witness
All your joy and all your pain
But until my moment comes
I'll say...

I, I did it all
I, I did it all
I owned every second
That this world could give
I saw so many places
The things that I did
Yeah, with every broken bone
I swear I lived

Oh my gosh, that is just the sweetest thing ever! First of all, there's the part I bolded just to make sure you see it, because it has been a struggle for Tyler and Catelynn to cope with not being able to watch Carly grow every day. Just because they feel like they made the right decision doesn't mean it wasn't and isn't hard.

But the whole meaning of the song speaking to life and living it fully is just so incredibly beautiful and touching, and just such a lovely way to honor their daughter and show how much they want the very best for her.

Did Tyler's song for Carly tug at your heartstrings?
