Why 'Million Dollar Listing' Is Basically the Male Version of 'Real Housewives' (VIDEO)

Sad news over in The Real Housewives of New Jersey camp today, and it has nothing to do with court cases. Also today, due to the end of several shows we've been covering, I branched out a little! In the exclusive video below, we've got a spectacular episode of MTV's Catfish and their LIVE after show #Chatfish, as well as quick dips into Untying the Knot and Million Dollar Listing: New York's reunion and how that compares to the Housewives.

Every reality cast member last night, whether it was Nev Schulman and Max Joseph on Catfish or Ryan Serhant on MDLNY, has learned how to keep it interesting. That's the key on reality TV. You may have a formula, a gimmick, or a format that works, but after a few seasons -- both shows are in their third season -- you have to mix things up to keep the viewers coming back. Ryan specifically talked about his strategy, but I could see from a viewer-reading-between-the-lines perspective that Nev and Max are doing exactly the same thing. In today's video below, I tell you what and why.

Also today, there's a dark horse and it's riding hard. So hard, it might surpass The Real Housewives of New York City. What?!?!! Impossible, you say? Watch below and I'll tell you why Vikki Ziegler might catch the New York City gals and what she has in common with Millionaire Matchmaker's Patti Stanger.

Do you think Million Dollar Listing is better than RHONY?
