Maci Bookout's Big Plans Are Too Dangerous for a Young Mom

Maci Bookout Bentley

Have you ever sat down and made up a bucket list? Or if you don't have an entire list, are there one or two things you're determined to do at some point in your life?

Most of us have some sort of dream we'd like to accomplish -- but wait until you hear what is on Maci Bookout's bucket list, because it's pretty dangerous, to say the least.

She told OK! Magazine, "The number one thing on my bucket list is to go skydiving. Just because I've heard so many things about how it's the craziest experience when you jump and how, once your parachute opens, it's the most peaceful thing."

Yeahhhh. I'm sure it's all sorts of peaceful, unless something goes wrong and your parachute doesn't open!

OMG. I get it. She wants to do something wild, crazy, and fearless. But for her son Bentley's sake, let's hope Maci doesn't plan on jumping out of a plane until he's an adult, because it seems like a bit too much of a risk for a parent of a young child.

My son is 8 years old, and I swear I'm just as terrified of something happening to me as I am of something happening to him. And even though there are certain activities that sound like fun, I can't imagine doing anything that puts me in harm's way, at least until he's a grown man who can take care of himself.

I'm not saying Maci is being irresponsible or anything -- just that she has plenty of time to fulfill her bucket list, so it's not like she needs to book a skydiving lesson anytime soon.

In the meantime, maybe she can settle for doing things a little closer to the ground. You know, like jumping on a trampoline or something.

Would you ever skydive or do anything dangerous while your kids are still little?
