'Sons of Anarchy' Adds Marilyn Manson to Cast -- Yes, THAT Marilyn Manson

Marilyn MansonI don't think any Sons of Anarchy guest role could possibly top Walter Goggins as the spectacular transgender escort Venus Van Dam, but I'm awfully curious to see what they come up with for Marilyn Manson. You know: Marilyn Manson? Wears a lot of makeup? Sings about the beautiful people, the beautiful people? The so-called shock-rocker blamed for the decay of America's youth in the '90s?

Manson will be reportedly be contributing music to the upcoming final season of FX’s Sons of Anarchy, but it's just been confirmed he'll also have a role on the show. As for who he'll be playing -- well, it's probably not a surprise to hear that his character doesn't exactly sound like a likable guy.

Manson's character is Ron Tully, described as "a white supremacist prison shot-caller whom Jax (Charlie Hunnam) uses to expand his power base." No word on how many episodes he'll appear in, but it's a recurring role, so it seems safe to assume he'll be in at least a few. The only other detail that's been revealed about Ron Tully can be extrapolated from a tweet show creator Kurt Sutter posted last month:

I'm guessing this means Manson's character will have a heroin habit ... unless there are going to be actual dragons in the final season. Game of Anarchy!

In a statement, Manson said he accepted the role because both he and his dad love the show:

Sons has been such a big part of my life, as well as my father’s. So I was determined to make him proud by being involved in what will probably be remembered as the most amazing piece of television cinema. After all, the very heart of SOA is about that relationship. So, now all I need is a motorcycle.

I know Manson's done some acting over the years, including a handful of TV appearances, but I can't quite imagine him sharing the small screen with Jax, Gemma, and the rest of the gang. If nothing else, it should be interesting to see what he looks like. Hopefully they give his character better hair than he had in his Eastbound & Down cameo, because yikes:

What do you think about Marilyn Manson joining Sons of Anarchy?
