'Real Housewives of Orange County' Recap: Vicki Gunvalson & Lizzie Rovsek Get Off to Worst Start in History

vicki gunvalsonWelp, Vicki Gunvalson has a new arch enemy. On tonight's episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Vicki came face-to-face with new girl/Tamra's friend, Lizzie Rovsek, and wow it couldn't have gone more horribly! We all knew Vicki was going to hate Lizzie from the get-go, but sheesh, I don't think we've seen a relationship go sour so fast since Kyle Richards met Carlton Gebbia at the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce party. Awkwardville, USA!

And then let there was chairgate ...

After the ladies got to what was supposed to be a fun holiday dinner, Heather Dubrow and Shannon Beador got into a middle school-style fight over who was sitting where at the table. It was, in a word, ridiculous, and they both looked completely asinine. But the girls' childish antics were quickly overshadowed by Vicki's rude behavior to Lizzie.

In the limo ride on the way to dinner, Vicki and Lizzie went at it, mainly entirely because of Vicki's bad attitude. As soon as Vicki saw Lizzie and her big boobs and big lips and big hair, she decided she was an enemy -- and she treated her exactly that way. Vicki started off their interaction by pulling the ol' "What's your name? Lizzie? Izzy?", which clearly didn't sit well with Lizzie, who didn't hold back at all. "You can just call me Elizabeth," she told Vicki. And that was that. Enemies for life. Then the awkwardness continued into dinner.

After Heather and Shannon were done bickering over who gets to sit where, Vicki peppered Lizzie with questions, interrogation-style, in front of the entire table. Then, when ordering shots for the whole group, Vicki accidentally" forgot to order one for Lizzie. It was hard not to feel bad for Lizzie, and hard not to think Vicki was acting like a 5-year-old.

Up until this point in the season, Vicki has seemed somewhat relaxed and at-ease, so I was kind of surprised when she came at Lizzie, guns blazing, from the get-go. Though, judging by next week's preview, where Lizzie nastily tells Tamra she's "the most insecure person she's ever met in her life," it looks like Vicki's initial assessment may not have been that far off after all.

Who's side were you on: Vicki's or Lizzie's?
