'Teen Mom' Amber Portwood's Total Breakdown Is a Beautiful Thing

Amber Portwood

The Teen Mom MTV special, Being Amber, is set to air this Sunday, February 23. You may be even more eager to watch it after viewing Us Weekly's preview of Amber Portwood having a meltdown over the fact that she was gone from her daughter Leah for so long.

OMG. It's pretty bad, you guys. One minute she's sitting there kind of reflecting on things -- and then she suddenly realizes just how much her actions over the past few years have affected little Leah, and she totally loses it.

She gets up and storms into the bedroom, and then after a Teen Mom producer comes in, you can hear her saying:

"I feel so f---ing bad. I left her for so long ... I know why she's acting the way she is. She's afraid that I'm gonna f---ing leave her again. I just f---ing hate everything I did. It was all the drugs and s--t. It was all I did. All I did was get f----ed up."

It's definitely a good sign that Amber realizes just how aware Leah was of her absence even though she was so young when she went to jail. (Although hearing Amber drop f-bomb after f-bomb behind the bedroom door in that clip probably wasn't the healthiest thing for her either. Not good.)

Maybe this is a sign that she's ready to get her life back on track once and for all? One can hope. If nothing else, at least Amber seems to be ready to take responsibility for her actions -- which is definitely a step in the right direction.

Do you plan on watching the Being Amber special?
