Tina Fey & Amy Poehler Tease With Promise of Co-Hosting Repeat -- Yes, Please! (VIDEO)

The best conversation that took place at last night's Emmy Awards was one none of us were invited to listen in on: Hilarious women and BFFs Tina Fey and Amy Poehler apparently planned a private powwow after the awards ceremony to discuss the very real and awesome possibility that they might host next year's Golden Globe Awards for the second time. Yippee!

They've reportedly already been asked to host, and Ricky Gervais, who kind of, sort of bombed last year, depending on who you ask, has already sent his congratulations out to the funny duo. Fey, who, alongside Poehler, was nominated for Best Actress in a Comedy Series but lost to Julia Louis-Dreyfus, spilled the beans about the potential hosting gig to Ryan Seacrest while on the red carpet, adding that she and her Saturday Night Live partner in crime hadn't even had time to sit down and discuss the details.

But, especially given their funny performance last night (and any time they present together), can you think of more perfect hosts?

For anyone who missed it, during Neil Patrick Harris' opening monologue at the Emmys, Fey and Poehler sat in the front row wearing dark sunglasses and munching on popcorn while heckling at him to take his pants off and "twerk it! Work that twerk!" They then proved they have physical comedy and timing down to a science by practically catapulting onto the stage to present the first award of the evening for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series to Merritt Wever

Check out the video of them tormenting poor Neil:

From SNL to Baby Mama to their stints on various awards shows, it seems every time Fey and Poehler join forces, it's pure magic. They are the perfect choice for this year's Golden Globes, but while we're at it -- what about selecting them to host the Emmy Awards, as well? Since its very first show in 1948, only two funny women -- Ellen DeGeneres and Patricia Richardson -- ever teamed up to co-host the event in 1994. With groundbreaking shows like 30 Rock and Parks and Recreation under their belts, these ladies have clearly elevated TV to a whole new level, and they deserve all the recognition they can get.

Do you think Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are a good choice to host the Golden Globes Awards?
