She's creating her own narrative. Jenelle Evans is no longer part of MTV's Teen Mom franchise, after parting ways with the popular docu-drama earlier this summer. It's been a rough couple of years for the mom of three on the show, especially after her husband, David Eason, was let go from the series in early 2018 for his homophobic comments online, not to mention his threatening behavior towards the crew and other cast members.

Now Jenelle is claiming she was never "fired" by MTV, but we're having a hard time believing her.

In a new interview with People, Jenelle claimed that her contract with MTV is still "open."-placeholder

In a new interview with People, Jenelle claimed that her contract with MTV is still "open."

She told People Now, "My relationship with MTV right now -- we just left it on a civil note. And, you know, apparently I'm still in an open contract, I hear ... I hear that, you know, I'm not fired."

Jenelle continued that she was "confused," and hasn't had much communication with the network. She explained, "I only talk to one of my old producers, but no one else will speak to me, so I don't know. Things have been very hush-hush."

When the interviewer asked if she'd consider coming back to the show, she said she would, but with a caveat.-placeholder

When the interviewer asked if she'd consider coming back to the show, she said she would, but with a caveat.

She said, "Maybe," about going back on the show, but only if she had a greater say in the editing. She explained: "But I would have to, I've been working with them for so long, just the editing is not good ... It's just never been good."

Jenelle revealed that she believes that producers only air the negative things that happen in her life, for "ratings." We get that she feels that way, but she has made it pretty easy, considering the number of times she and David have called 911 on each other. Just saying.

And then there was that horrific business of David killing her French bulldog for nipping at their toddler.-placeholder

And then there was that horrific business of David killing her French bulldog for nipping at their toddler.

Despite Jenelle's claims over the summer that she "didn't know" what happened to Nugget, the couple revealed this week that David did kill the animal, as they believed it to be a threat to Ensley's safety.

The couple temporarily lost custody of all their children while CPS investigated the situation, and MTV put out a statement at the time saying it was no longer filming with Jenelle.

Honestly, we hope Jenelle just takes some time to concentrate on her kids.-placeholder

Honestly, we hope Jenelle just takes some time to concentrate on her kids.

Maybe even reflect on what kind of influence she's letting David have over her life. Maybe even realize he's been dragging her down and that she's better off without him.

We won't hold our breath, though.
