'RHOBH' Kim Richards' Sobriety in Question After 'Loopy' Behavior at Paris Hilton's Party

Kim RichardsIs Kim Richards still sober? That's the question everyone's asking with every scrutinized move The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star makes. Fueling recent rumors about her sobriety (or lack thereof) are reports from her cousin Paris Hilton's 32nd birthday, during which Kim was reportedly acting "loopy"

Star magazine reports that Kim had a "very unnatural smile plastered across her face" and she was "gyrating with a shirtless go-go dancer" and "dancing wildly on stage" at Harrah's Peek nightclub in Lake Tahoe. One source is quoted as saying, "It was so inappropriate at a family event," which is kind of funny, because go-go dancers and a nightclub don't sound much like a family-friendly event either, but that's what the sources said ... along with some other shocking accusations.

"People are whispering that Kim never really got clean and that her sobriety is just an act,” one said.

Of course these are just "sources" and it's Star magazine, so I don't put a whole lot of credibility in these particular reports, but the fact is there are a lot of questions about Kim's sobriety. While no one wants to see her fall off the wagon, it's hard not to wonder if it's going to happen, and her behavior isn't helping. I feel for her though because she's also kind of a loopy person in general, and maybe she was just having fun. It would be hard to ever let loose knowing everyone is watching and wondering.

A few weeks ago on RHOBH, we saw Kim Richards get really upset when Lisa Vanderpump insinuated that she may have been on something. Kim was hurt that after all of her hard work, anyone would think she'd slip. But she was acting quite strange, and her explanation about mixing up her medications was only somewhat believable. So it's easy to see why people question her actions.

The bottom line is that the only one who knows if Kim is sober is Kim. The world sitting back and second guessing isn't going to help her, but the questions aren't going to stop either. It's one of the sticky points of sobriety that's just worse when the whole world is watching. Stay strong, Kim.

What do you make of these reports?
