'DWTS' Pro Val Chmerkovskiy Is 'Toning It Down' This Season & Kelly Monaco Must Be Relieved

Val Chmerkovskiy Zendaya

Season 16 of Dancing With the Stars premieres on Monday, March 18th, and already, the cast members are hard at work rehearsing in order to prepare for the big night.

And by far, one of the pros we're most excited to see take the ballroom by storm is Val Chmerkovskiy, who is paried with Disney star, Zendaya, this time around.

But even though Val is a vision of hotness without even having to try, one thing we won't be seeing from him on DWTS Season 16 is any sort of sexiness. Val will be blogging about his experience for The Clicker, and he's already made it perfectly clear that he plans on keeping things very PG -- if not entirely G rated.

Being that Zendaya is only 16 years old, he really can't go the sexy route. At all. (That would be just plain wrong.) But considering Val and Zendaya have contemporary as their first dance, it will be hard not to compare it to the contemporary number he did with Kelly Monaco on the All-Star season.

Val says, "Yeah, you know, last time I did contemporary, half the nation got pregnant! So I’m probably going to tone it down with Zendaya and take a different route! Less about passion and more about inspiration!"

(Um, I'm surprised Kelly didn't get pregnant during their contemporary performance. It was that hot.)

Ok, so we don't have to worry about there being any sort of physical chemistry between Val and his teen partner. Hmm. Does anyone else find this pairing pretty interesting, especially since he and Kelly Monaco have yet to confirm or deny that they're madly in love?

Even though they've both been very tight-lipped about the status of their relationship, pretty much anyone who watched them last season thinks there's more than friendship going on there. And it just seems like a little too much of a coincidence that Val has been paired with someone who poses ZERO threat to Kelly as far as capturing his affection goes.

It'll be pretty interesting to see whether or not Kelly shows up in the audience to cheer on her former partner -- who may STILL be her partner off the dance floor, as far as we know. (How much more suspense can we take?)

Are you excited to see Val dance with Zendaya this season, or will it be tough to watch him with anyone other than Kelly?
