'Teen Mom' Leah Messer & Jeremy Calvert Must Choose Their Marriage Over the Kids This Time

leah messer jeremy calvert twin girlsTeen Mom 2's Leah Messer and new beau Jeremy Calvert may have tied the knot this past spring, but apparently, the young couple have yet to take a honeymoon. No big surprise there, given how hectic their life has got to be. The two definitely have their hands full with Ali and Aleeah, Leah's twins from her previous relationship (and split-second-long marriage to) with Corey Simms. But that isn't to say that they haven't been scheming about a possible post-nuptial getaway.

A source told OK! magazine that "Leah's dream would be somewhere with the beach, sun, and sand. She really wants to go somewhere she and Jeremy can relax." Sounds totally doable and romantic. There's one hitch ...

Reportedly, the couple doesn't want to go anywhere that's too far from the twins. In fact, OK!'s source even admits:

They almost never get time for themselves because the girls are their number-one priority.

So sweet, and definitely understandable, but still ... it sounds like by failing to nab themselves some one-on-one couples time, I'd worry that they're going to miss out on a once-in-a-lifetime experience, a very necessary opportunity to bond as a couple ... without the girls! Actually, I'd venture to guess that taking that "time for themselves" will make them even happier as a couple and even better off as a parenting team.

Also, don't get me wrong. I'm not saying they have to go on a $5K international jet-set type trip to Tahiti or Thailand. Even a local beach vacay -- staying at a romantic B&B or low-key resort -- within driving distance of their home could work. Maybe they could ask one of their parents to watch the girls.

I'll be the first to admit it's a lot to think about paying for a wedding and a fancy vacay right afterward. Sometimes, couples have to put it off for a few months -- maybe even a year. But to never go and miss out on some precious alone time as newlyweds? It would simply be a shame.

Do you agree Leah and Jeremy should make a point to go on a honeymoon, even if it's close to home?
