'Bachelor' & 'Bachelorette' Spoilers Are Ruining My Precious TV Times

As a 34-year-old married mother of one who lives out in the sticks in rural Connecticut, I really don't have a whole lot of excitement going on during my week. Sure, there's the occasional dinner out at our local burger joint, but other than that, sitting on the couch at night with a cocktail nice tall glass of ice water and watching mindless reality TV shows is the extent of my "social" life. And I dig it.

By far, The Bachelor & The Bachelorette are my favorite guilty pleasures, so much so that I actually wake up on Monday mornings during the season and immediately update my Facebook status with something about how I can't wait to see who gets eliminated at the next rose ceremony. (Pathetic, I know.)

Of course, most of the time I already know before turning on the TV who is going to be crying (or swearing) in the limo each week because of all the damn spoilers that are out there these days. And as sad as it sounds, those stupid spoilers are really starting to ruin my life.

I am SO excited for Emily Maynard's upcoming season of The Bachelorette (because she's awesome and sweet as pie and I l-o-v-e her), and that's why I am seriously pissed off that Reality Steve has already leaked her final four dudes! (I put in that hyperlink without reading the article, so please don't tell me what it says.)

OMG. She isn't even done with filming yet, and Steve's already ruining the experience for everyone. Can't he at least wait until we are a few episodes into the show before narrowing down the playing field? At this rate, we'll know who Emily chooses long before the first cocktail party on her show. And that just totally sucks!

It used to be that spoilers would come out much closer to the final rose ceremony, and you knew that they were posted on Reality Steve's site, and if you didn't want to read them, you didn't have to. But now plenty of other websites are posting them early on in the game too, and you run into them whether you want to know who gets picked or not. And it's just so so unfair to all of the other lame fans like me who are sitting at home with nothing better to do then live vicariously through someone else's love life on a Monday night. (Throw a girl a bone, for crying out loud!)

These spoilers need to stop -- like right now. My sanity and weeknight entertainment depends on it. Who's with me?

Are you one of those people who likes reading Bachelor/Bachelorette spoilers, or would you rather be surprised?
