'Real Housewives of New York' Gets Triple Shot of Hot, New Blood (VIDEO)

Real Housewives of New YorkIn a huge transfusion of new blood like we've never seen, the cast for the next season of The Real Housewives of New York has been unveiled. Gone are Jill Zarin, Kelly Bensimon, and Alex McCord, and in their places, a new trio of brave and fascinating females are stepping in to show us what they've got.

Andy Cohen announced the new cast mates last night during the Watch What Happens: Live All-Star party in Manhattan. They are: Aviva Drescher, Carole Radziwill, and Heather Thomson. Here's what we know about them so far:

Thomson is the founder of Yummie Tummie -- a shapewear line similar to that of Spanx. The designer and stylist has lots of famous connections, including Sean "Diddy" Combs with whom she previously worked.

Drescher, yes, is related to Fran Drescher of The Nanny -- she's her cousin. According to Bravo, she's a "part-time socialite and full-time mother" (my dream job!) and "will let nothing hold her back." She's also an amputee who lost her foot and ankle in a farm accident when she was a child.

More from The Stir: 'Real Housewives of New York' Have Real Personality Disorders

Radziwill is an author and journalist -- a former producer at ABC and a writer for Glamour. She'll also bring some more royalty to the show as her former husband, the late Prince Anthony Radziwill, was the son of Lee Radziwill, who is the sister of Jackie Kennedy Onassis. Got that?

Some pretty interesting backgrounds for sure, but how will they blend with the veterans of New York? Like oil and water if the previews are any indication.

In short: It looks awesome. There's plenty of old drama -- the LuAnn de Lesseps vs. Ramona Singer feud apparently rages on. "What other tricks do you have to pull out of your pinot-filled ass?" we see LuAnn ask Ramona in a heated conversation. There's also plenty of the delightful Sonja Morgan who appears feistier than ever; and oh lord, there's drama on an island again. Add to that these new ladies -- who don't appear to have any problem warming up (did you see Aviva call Sonja and Ramona "white trash"?!) -- and things look hotter than ever.

Tell me you're not dying for this season to start? Bring it, New York!
