'Teen Mom' Kailyn Lowry Is Slimming Down in the Smartest Way

But like most of us, it sounds like she's been thinking about how she can get into even better shape before ... dun dun dahhh ... BIKINI season! Eww, don't you just hate that expression? Me too, but it's unavoidable. Sooner or later, it's going to be summer, and we're all going to want to feel and look our best. So why wouldn't you want to get a move on your shape-up right now?

I was actually pleasantly surprised to hear that Lowry's slimming plan is one of the most popular and effective regimens out there right now ...


Turns out, she's doing the Insanity workout with boyfriend, Javi Marroquin. They're on a 60-day regime and conditioning program, which boasts the ability to not only help users shed weight, but also gain lean, hot muscle with "maximum-intensity exercises with short periods of rest," aka circuit training. Hells yeah, that is where it is at.

Kailyn's super-pumped about the program, tweeting just the other day: "Gym time then #Insanity day #6! #leanbody." Yeesh! Gym and Insanity? Wow, dedicated woman right there. Very psyched to see the payoff.

And she'll get it. Insanity is one of several trendy new workout programs -- like P90X and Jillian Michaels' Body Revolution (which I'm personally on week #2 of -- woot, woot) -- that sounds completely hardcore and crazy. But circuit training really has been shown to offer amazing results.

In fact, every bride I've talked to lately about their pre-wedding workout has recommended circuit training to slim down and tone up in a fast, effective way. Because being a Cardio Queen doesn't cut it. A half-hour on the treadmill or elliptical won't boost your metabolism the way these other workouts will. And when it comes to something like a serious workout, who wouldn't want the best results in the shortest amount of time?
