Kate Upton Revs Up Daytona 500 & Spicy New Commercial (VIDEO)

Kate UptonGentlemen start your engines. While Kate Upton may be the co-grand marshal of the Daytona 500 today, it's her new commercial that really revs things up. If you thought the photos of the 19-year-old in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue were hot, then prepare to be scorched. Premiering today, the new commercial for burger chain Carl's Jr. and Hardees, is  just a few centimeters short of porn territory -- and I'm not talking food porn.

In it she's devouring/making love to the Southwest Patty Melt. The sandwich itself looks spicy as it includes a beef patty topped with sliced jalapenos, grilled onions, pepper-Jack cheese, and spicy Santa Fe sauce, but Kate puts the whole thing on fire. Though it is a television commercial, I wouldn't say it's safe for work or little eyes, so beware before viewing ... after the jump.

Personally, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I actually didn't mind the Sports Illustrated cover. She's a gorgeous girl of legal age, and you know what you're going to get when it comes to the swimsuit issue. But this commercial is just gratuitous.

She told E! News during the shoot: “I’m proud of these curves! I work out to get this butt, so of course I’m going to show it off!” And that's fine, but this just makes her look trashy.

I swear her nipples are almost visible, and the bag between her legs followed by her hand between her legs is just too much. If she's going to give this much away, she should have saved it for something a little more ambitious than a burger chain commercial. Of course, we've seen similar from this chain before with sexy ads featuring Paris Hilton,  Padma Lakshmi, and Audrina Patridge, but this one goes way beyond those.

And does it really make many people want to go eat a burger? Frankly, it makes me want to go on a diet. You know big burgers aren't what these girls are eating, which makes it even worse. Also, I don't want to be watching TV with my kids and have to explain something like this; and don't even get me started on the messages it sends to young girls. Fast food is bad enough as it is, and this just makes it all the more unappetizing.

Do you think Kate Upton's new advertisement for Carl's Jr.  goes too far?
