'Real Housewives of Atlanta' Recap: Kim Zolciak Really Has Moved On

Kim Zolciak and Kroy BiermannJust when it seemed nothing more dramatic than Kim Zolciak simultaneously driving and pumping breast milk (only Kim) was going to happen on tonight's episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, surprise -- the episode was super-sized. Bravo gave us an extra 15 minutes, and it was in those final minutes that it all went down ... sort of.

As you know, Kim and NeNe Leakes hadn't seen each other since Cynthia's wedding. The two finally were set to meet at Cynthia's big opening party for her new fashion agency. The foreshadowing was strong with Cynthia praying they wouldn't get into a fight on her big night, and even Kim bracing for the possible confrontation: "I just hope that moose NeNe doesn't show up and ruin my one night out."

Of course, NeNe did show up, but the drama didn't.

They just ignored one another. Shockingly, neither said a word to the other or in any way tried to start any trouble. In fact, the most shocking thing was how Kim did everything in her power to avoid getting dragged into the drama between Kandi Burruss and Marlo Hampton who were arguing about Marlo having a "big poppa" or Kandi being a "big momma."

Kim didn't want to talk about any big poppas at all, having recently ditched her own. So she grabbed her man, Kroy, and hightailed it back to her adorable little baby K.J. It was so un-Kim-like for her not to put in her two cents (or two billion cents), but so nice to see that she really may have moved past the need to feed the drama. And why not? She just moved into an OMG-beautiful 17,000-square-foot home; she has three beautiful children and a man who loves her. Who needs drama?

It will be interesting to see if she can resist jumping back into the fray of things, especially if directly confronted. But for now, she seems to have genuinely evolved, which is great ... for her.

It's not so good for the show, however, because frankly this season is pretty slow. The ladies of Atlanta usually bring it like no one else, but even with bonus nights and extra-long episodes, they're not bringing a lot of entertainment. Even the whole feud that was seemingly starting between Phaedra Parks and Sheree Whitfield was snuffed out with a hug in the first few minutes of this episode.

So for Kim's sake, I hope she stays in the happy place she's in, but for us viewers, I hope something bigger starts brewing than Kandi going country and Peter going missing during Cynthia's big moment (we don't need any more convincing that he's a big jerk). Watching Kim coo about her perfect life is sweet ... but only for so long.

Do you think Kim has permanently moved beyond the drama or do you think she'll be back in it before long? Are you finding this season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta kind of boring?
