Top Kardashian Highs & Lows of 2011

Keeping Up With the KardashiansThis may have been the year of the rabbit, but the Kardashians certainly got a helluva lot more play than the hare. Ever since Keeping Up With the Kardashians premiered four years ago, this family has captured our interest and headlines galore. But this year, more than ever, there was no escaping the Kardashian name.

Everywhere we turned, there was another twist or turn in their lives. From business ventures to marriages and babies, it was a krazy year for this family. So as 2011 comes to a close, let's recap some of the Kardashian high points and not-so-high points of the year.

Kim Kardashian gets engaged. I suppose this could be considered a low given how it all turned out, but in May when the news came, it was exciting. After just six months of dating, Kris Humphries popped the question, and we all started wedding planning and dreaming with Kim.

Kim & Kris got married. Though it may have ended in a nightmare, the day itself back in August was a dream ... or a fairytale, take your pick. With a black-and-white theme and three stunning Vera Wang dresses ... at least they'll always have the pictures.

Kardashian businesses boom. From fragrances and home goods to the Kardashian Kollection at Sears, the family knows how to sell. In October experts predicted they may be worth a billion dollars in two years. Ka-ching.

Rob Kardashian rocks Dancing With the Stars. He didn't win, but he certainly did better than anyone expected and managed to do something productive for once.

Kourtney announces baby number two. Late last month Kourtney announced that she and Scott Disick are expecting baby number two. Mason is going to be a big brother!

Khloe and Lamar are moving to Dallas. This is a bit bittersweet, but I think moves can be good for the soul. It will be a new chapter for them together, and hopefully one that includes a baby.

Khloe and Lamar struggle with infertility. In May she revealed her infertility fears on Khloe & Lamar. Recent reports say she's preparing to undergo IVF procedures soon though, so hopefully that will all change soon.

Mason Disick gets stitches. It turned out to be nothing more than a pretty minor injury, but still, the thought of his adorable little face being sewn up with stitches was just too sad.

Kris & Kim announce they're splitting. Just 72 days after they said "I do," they were done. On October 31 Kim filed for divorce. Since then there have been all sorts of allegations and accusations as to why, but one thing seems certain -- they're done for good.

Kardashian boycott launched. Outrage over the short wedding and hatred for the Kardashians boiled over and into a petition determined to take them off the air. While they gained a lot of signatures, the Kardashians are still on the air.

Phew! What a full year it has been, and our fascination with the Kardashians certainly shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. I'm sure we'll see much more of them in 2012, but it's difficult to even fathom all the surprises another year could bring.

What were your favorite Kardashian moments of 2011? What do you hope/expect to see in 2012?
