Jacqueline Laurita & Caroline Manzo Need to Play the Game or Go

Caroline Manzo and Jacqueline LauritaReal Housewives of New Jersey fans are all abuzz with rumors as to whether Jacqueline Laurita and Caroline Manzo will be returning for another season. Some say Jacqueline quit after the whole Melissa Gorga stripper drama, while another report today said both Jacqueline and Caroline were fired by Bravo because they refused to bring the drama.

Bravo stepped up to stop the rumors today, and in a statement said:

Bravo is not firing anyone from 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey.' This is completely inaccurate from sources who are unreliable and making up rumors. All five cast members will be featured on season four. No decisions have been made about season five at this time.

Which, honestly, is kind of disappointing. While Jacqueline finally showing a spine and going up against Teresa could add some interest, the fact is: Jacqueline and Caroline are boring. Snooze City. They may be nice and lovely and people you'd like to call personal friends, but do you really want to watch them on television? I can't say they add a whole lot of spice to the show.

We watch Real Housewives for the drama, and they're just not bringing it, but rather taking up space in the background. As annoying and bratty as she was, Jacqueline's daughter Ashley at least spiced things up a little, but now that she's off the show, what's Jacqueline got to offer? And Caroline ... well, isn't she at retirement age yet? Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga are kind of left bearing the whole drama burden, and their business is getting old quickly.

Jacqueline and Caroline may be better humans for their resolve not to disgrace themselves like so many other Housewives before them, but they don't make better Housewives. Drama is part of the job description. So they either need to let the cameras in a little more and show more of what they've shown us on Twitter lately, or move on (or be moved) and let some new Real Housewives into the mix who can and will spice things up. We've watched enough Jersey shows to know there have got to be some good prospects out there in that colorful state.

Do you want to see Jacqueline Laurita and Caroline Manzo stay or leave The Real Housewives of New Jersey?
