Kris Humphries + Ray J on a Plane = AWKWARD

Kim Kardashian and Kris HumphriesOh what a small world it is when you find yourself seated on an airplane right next to the guy with whom your new wife made a sex tape -- a really famous and graphic sex tape. That's just where Kris Humphries, the new Mr. Kim Kardashian, found himself this past weekend when he was seated next to Ray J on a flight from Los Angeles to New Orleans.

Whether it was by chance or the working of some reservations agent trying to stir things up, there they were in first class, just an aisle separating them. No words were spoken, until Kris got up and moved to another seat.

Ray J didn't let him go peacefully; instead, he walked up to Kris and tried to introduce himself. Then Kris totally dissed him, telling him he had no clue who he was. Yeah right. As if. Actually, if he hadn't gotten up and moved, I could almost believe he didn't know who Ray J was. If I were him, I wouldn't want to look at that video ever, much less memorize the guy's face. But the fact he up and moved pretty much gave him away.

Ray J actually sounds like he handled it with a lot of class. A source told the New York Post, "Ray J said, 'Come on, you know who I am. I just want to say congratulations.'"

Eventually Kris gave up his whole I'm-too-cool act, and fessed up that he really did know who he was. "Oh yeah, yeah, I’m sorry, I know who you are," he reportedly said.

And that's all the source reported. Man, I want to know more though, like what if anything was said after that, if Kris texted Kim at the first possible opportunity, or if Ray J did. He did text her on her wedding day, you know.

How totally and completely ironic that just weeks later these two significant men in her life would be flying side-by-side; one couldn't have scripted it better. In fact, I bet E! and Ryan Seacrest are pissed their cameras weren't on board too ... or at least we don't think they were. It is a pretty strange coincidence ...

Do you think Kris Humphries knew who Ray J was?
