'Mad Men' Kid Actor Confirms January Jones' Bitchiness

January Jones has always had the unfortunate reputation as being a bit of a bitch, hasn't she? Personally, I was willing to chalk that up to the typical tabloid character-smearing that often gets aimed at actresses who refuse to cooperate with the paparazzi, but now that the kid who plays Bobby Draper on Mad Men has tossed her under a bus ... well, I'm thinking there may be more than a little truth to the rumors.

Jared Gilmore, the kid who played Betty Draper's son last season, is leaving Mad Men to star in ABC's Once Upon a Time—but not before sharing a few choice words about his TV mom.

In fact, he's got some specific advice for the next poor kid who has to play Bobby:

Be careful around January [Jones]. She's not as approachable as the others. She's really serious about what she does. Everyone else is so nice.

Ah, from the mouths of babes. It seems to me that when a young kid says someone isn't approachable, I think you can essentially translate that to: "JANUARY JONES IS A HUGE AWFUL B-WORD AND EVERY NIGHT I DREAM ABOUT HER SCARY FACE AND I WAKE UP SCREAMING."

Gilmore's not the first to point out Jones' prickliness, of course. A while ago Zach Galifianakis described his less-than-pleasant introduction to Jones:

I was at a party — I’d never met her — and she was like, "Come sit down." So I sit at her table and talk for 10 minutes, and she goes, "I think it’s time for you to leave now." So I say, "January, you are an actress in a show and everybody’s going to forget about you in a few years, so f—ing be nice."

Lost's co-creator Damon Lindelof also recently posted some public disdain for Jones, tweeting about her role in X-Men: First Class:

Emma Frost's THREE mutant powers: Telepathy, Transformation to Solid Diamond and last but not least, Sucking at Acting.

Not only that, but Jones seems more than happy to dig her own bitch-hole. When Marie Claire UK asked her about a rumor that she got into modeling to show "all those bitches in high school who said I wasn't pretty," she responded,

Where are you getting this shit? It sounds like something I might have said when I was, like, 15. The bitches in high school were bitches because I was pretty.

Uh, just a thought, January, but maybe the bitches in high school were bitches because YOU were such a bitch.

Now that Jared Gilmore has added his voice to the Jones-dissing, I'm guessing she'll be trying to do some damage control. But what exactly do you say when a child star goes on record saying that the next kid actor needs to be careful around you? Harsh words and, by the sound of it, probably well-deserved. Maybe TV's scariest mom isn't doing all that much acting after all.

Are you surprised by Gilmore's comments?
