Jane Lynch Is 'Cool' With Lea Michele & Chris Colfer Leaving 'Glee'

jane lynchAt first, I was miserable after hearing the Glee news that Chris Colfer, Lea Michele, and Cory Monteith would be graduating at the end of season 3. But now, after word of possible spin-offs for the characters and seeing Lea's voice her excitement for the future of her career on Twitter, I've come to terms with the fact that my favorites are on the outs.

Well now, everyone's favorite gym teacher, Sue Sylvester, played by actress Jane Lynch, is going as far as to say she's happy about the Glee favorites' departures. Praising Director Ryan Murphy's judgement, the Emmy host to-be told Access Hollywood Live "[Ryan] rarely makes bad calls. But I think it's kind of cool that they will have to graduate ... [and] that the teachers get to stay!"

I always knew Sue had a good head on her shoulders ... or at least Jane Lynch does.

You see, any actress or actor with a solid gig knows the right thing to do is support their director. And to be honest, why shouldn't she? Ryan's made a ton of excellent decisions for Glee throughout the last year. Wouldn't you agree?

For example: Bringing on two A-class hotties Darren Criss and Chord Overstreet. OR, remember when the whole prom fiasco happened? He made the right call by allowing Kurt to keep his prom "queen" crown. Instantaneously, discussions were popping up amongst fans on Twitter and the interwebs everywhere. And to be honest, I can't imagine the whole scenario going down any other way.

There's clearly a method to the madness. Ryan Murphy has great insight into what makes a successful prime-time show, and is just doing what he can, while working with the other writers and producers, to make Glee the best it can be. Not only that, but if Lea Michele and the gang weren't graduating at the end of this season, then I'd have to admit that the show wouldn't stay as realistic for me. Of course, there isn't much realistic about kids singing in the middle of the streets, hallways, and classrooms wherever they go. But that's forgivable, considering they're just so darn awesome at it.

Do you agree with Jane Lynch about Ryan Murphy's graduation plans for Chris, Cory, and Lea?
