'The Voice' Recap: Dia Frampton Is So Over It Already

See? Dia Frampton, left, is like, so not amused.
I gotta say, The Voice was thoroughly entertaining last night. I was a little skeptical because whenever I hear the words "original song" thrown around in singing competitions, I get nervous because they're never, ever good. Usually they sound like some D-list Disney song that a fourth grade Christian choir would sing -- the originals from American Idol have been so cloying, my teeth rotted just hearing them. But Voice finalists Dia Frampton, Javier Colon, Beverly McClellan, and Vicci Martinez each performed originals that were not only great, but memorable.

I checked out the iTunes chart this morning to see which contestant's song had the most downloads, and to my utter disgust and disappointment, Dia's in the lead with her song "Inventing Shadows." Gag me with an affected spoon.

I don't know why I'm the only one who strongly dislikes Dia. What do you guys see in her?! She has the personality of a pleasant wet rag and takes compliments like a smug teen. She's worse than Pia Toscano in that way. They both smile and nod a lot, but at least Pia seemed genuinely grateful. Dia just seems like she's over it. And don't get me started on her lack of staying power in this industry. Michelle Branch and Vanessa Carlton ring any bells? No? You've already forgotten that they had one or two hits, were singer/songwriters who looked just like Dia? Ugh. Dia's so boring. Maybe she, Vanessa, and Michelle can go on Lame Tour 2011 together.

Anyway, Dia's got the number one most downloaded song on iTunes, Javier Colon's "Stitch by Stitch" is the second, Vicci Martinez's "Afraid to Sleep" (love!) is 13, and Beverly McClellan's "Lovesick" is 29.

We'll find out tonight who is crowned "The Voice," but from the looks of the downloads, we can guess that it's between Dia and Javier.

And let's all hope it's Javier. I've listened to his version of Coldplay's "Fix You" close to 600 times and I'm still not over it. I love his tone. And guess what? I also love Bev and Vicci, too. I think Bev is really fun to watch (although that duet of "Beautiful" with Christina was just awful) and Vicci has a great voice, great look, and great attitude.

And before I go, let me just acknowledge that Christina didn't look terrible last night, that I want to buy a Blake Shelton poster for my bedroom, that Cee Lo probably comes up to Blake's waist, and that Adam should never sing Queen again.

Results are tonight! Go Javier, Bev, and Vicci!

Who do you want to win The Voice?
