Heidi Klum's Naked 'Project Runway' Ad Could Spark Wild Trend

I have to hand it to Heidi Klum, if I looked as great as she does after having four kids, I'd probably be happy to pose naked for a Project Runway ad too. Except instead of having "make it work" written on my arm, I'd write "BOW BEFORE MY REMARKABLY PERKY BOOBS AND VISIBLE OBLIQUES, LOWLY SUBHUMANS!" because OMG, seriously, what kind of exercise routine is this chick doing?

The topless image of Klum wearing only a pink tie and a half-smile—actually, is that a smile? The more I look at it, the more confused I am about what sort of facial expression she's got going on, which is reason #58210 I don't understand anything about fashion—is part of Lifetime's promotional campaign for the ninth season of Project Runway.

The sexy vibe comes courtesy of Lifetime general manager Nancy Dubuc, who has been pushing creative teams to improve the network's appeal. Which is great and all, but ... oh god, please say that hawking naked TV hosts isn't going to become a trend.

I mean, obviously bare skin in ads is nothing new—television shows have been using sexuality as a marketing tool forever. But I'm thinking specifically of all the hosting gigs out there, thanks in no small part to the plethora of reality competitions. What do you think, would it be hot or not to see these folks naked?

Jeff Probst. Possibly hot, depending on how weathered he really is under all the makeup.

Ryan Seacreast. Not. NOT NOT NOT. I just have a terrible feeling it would be like the Jaime Gumb "tucked" scene in Silence of the Lambs.

Mario Lopez. Oh hell no. He may have a 12-pack, but I will never be able to look at him without seeing that douche from Saved by the Bell.

Giuliana Rancic. Not. Girlfriend is just too bony.

Chelsea Handler. Probably hotter than we think.

Wendy Williams. Doesn't matter, this would be freaking hilarious so make it happen, BET. Poster should include naked Wendy eating a Slim Jim.

Cat Deeley. Totally hot, and you know we'd all be dying to see what she did with her hair.

Ok, now that I've run through this mental exercise, maybe it wouldn't be such a bad idea after all. Let Heidi Klum lead the way, television networks. If your ratings are in peril, it's time to slap a nude host on a poster. Just ... maybe don't do this for The View.

What do you think of the Project Runway promo?
