'Kourtney & Kim Take New York' Finale Recap: The Thwarted Proposal

Scott DisickScott Disick should have led with the ring, then maybe Kourtney Kardashian would have been too dazzled by the bling to thwart his proposal attempt. Thankfully, he didn't, so she's not stuck with him ... yet.

During last night's finale episode of Kourtney and Kim Take New York, it looked as if Scott was finally going to weasel his way into the Kardashian family as a permanent member. After he and Kourtney decided they had no real anniversary, what with all their breakups and drama, they decided to establish a new one. When he went to buy her an anniversary gift, he was struck by the notion that it was time to propose and bought an engagement ring instead.

The ring -- a ginormous yellow diamond -- was gorgeous; the thought of her marrying him is still hideous no matter how much he tries to convince us he's changed. Thankfully and surprisingly, before he even got a chance to ask, Kourtney told him she had no interest in tying the knot with him now ... maybe not ever. Phew.

They are, however, moving back in together in their new $1.7 million home in Calabasas, California they recently purchased, so it's not like he's going away either. The show ended with them headed to the airport as Scott pouted and pondered the future.

"Now I feel like Kourtney looks at our relationship as something temporary," he told the cameras. Could we/she get so lucky?

Kourtney was left wondering just why sister Kim Kardashian had decided to take up permanent residency in New York. Was it because of Kris Humphries, who Kourtney had just learned her sister was dating via the tabloids?

Seeing as they're still hot and heavy now, and just last week Kim was gushing about how much she loved him to Jay Leno, I'd say that was a pretty good guess.

Now the full-court pressing question: Which Kardashian sister will walk down the aisle next?

Were you glad that Kourtney and Scott didn't get engaged? Who do you think will get married next: Kim or Kourtney?
